What to disclose about player counts, servers, and online features.
If your game has any online component — co-op, PvP, leaderboards, cloud saves — Valve wants specifics. Vague multiplayer claims lead to rejection and angry players.
Exactly how many players can play together? "2-4 players", "Up to 32 players", "Massively multiplayer" — be specific.
Peer-to-peer or dedicated servers? This affects player expectations for stability and latency.
Is online required to play? Can you play offline/solo? Always-online DRM should be disclosed.
Can Steam players play with console or other PC storefront players? If yes, mention it.
If you have region-specific servers (NA, EU, Asia), let players know for latency expectations.
"Online co-op for 2-4 players via dedicated servers. Single-player mode available offline. Cross-play supported with Xbox and PlayStation."
"Competitive multiplayer for up to 16 players per match. Peer-to-peer connection with host migration. Internet connection required for multiplayer modes."
Make sure your online features are properly disclosed.
